Why Consider Talking to a Financial Consultant

I'm sure most of us experienced a person or two who approached us and introduced themselves as "financial consultant" and offered their "services".
"Hi friend! I'm working as a financial consultant from this company and I can offer you products etc! Free ka ba kahit via zoom lang? blah blah blah blah blah"
Normally, people decline in an instant, ignore the message, or won't ever bother reading it.

Even before being a financial consultant myself, I am honestly scared to talk and meet one. I've always thought that financial advisors would take my money. LOL. Or that they'd let you know how badly you're doing with your finances that it's almost impossible to come out from your financial burdens. Also, I don't want to talk about money.
Bakit nga ba 'pag usapang pera ayaw natin mag-chika? Char, bakit ba ako nangengealam?
When I started working as a part-time financial consultant, I kind of felt guilty that I declined some invites reasoning out that I have an already existing insurance policy. (If you're reading this and you invited me before and I decline, I apologize. Huhu.)
But here's some thoughts on why you shouldn't be scared to talk to us, financial advisors.
We won't take your money.
I remember a friend telling me what would happen if she can't pay me for my services. "Frieeeend i-aassist lang kita, si company ang babayaran mo." I'm not even sure if it was only the two of us as well who thought that money goes to the agent but financial consultants are there to assist and give financial advices and recommendations.
We are here to help, not to judge.
Whether you choose a close friend or a someone else to assist you with your financial needs, it's important to have someone you are comfortable to talk to. Not only will that help you open up more about your needs and goals, but your concerns will most likely be addressed better as well.
Financial planning need not to be expensive.
Sure thing, we are talking about money. But it doesn't necessarily mean that you have to give up a lot of things to plan for your future. (Reward yourself, friend!) Talking about insurance and investment can be intimidating but it is important to remember that if something can fit within your budget, set it aside and better to prepare for your future NOW.
Talking to a financial advisor can be scary but also remember that we are humans as well. You'd sometimes be surprised you'd actually find us having a relatable experience with you as well.
Also, some of us use memes. Let me know if you like memes.
